Presenter Mode: Set the Outcome Before You Spin

How to use presenter mode to rehearse lessons, run giveaways, and stage party moments — a step-by-step guide with the wheel built in.

Presenter mode lets you choose the outcome before the wheel spins — the animation looks exactly like a normal spin. Teachers use it to rehearse lessons, hosts to stage giveaways, and party organizers to set up moments.

How to use presenter mode

  1. Open any wheel and expand Edit slices.
  2. Tick Rig the result (presenter mode) and pick the outcome from the dropdown.
  3. Spin. The wheel lands on your chosen slice with the same animation as a normal spin.
  4. Untick to return to normal random mode.

“The fairest spin starts before the wheel moves.”

The wheelroost rule of thumb

Where it helps

  • Classrooms — rehearse which student answers which question so the lesson flows.
  • Giveaways — decide the winner in advance and keep the reveal dramatic.
  • Party games — set up the “random” moment a story or game needs.

A note on fairness

Presenter mode is for rehearsed or staged moments — entertainment, not chance. If people are expecting a fair draw, keep it off. Every wheel shows the current mode in the editor so there is no hidden state.

Check the list. Trust the spin. Enjoy the moment.
